Jessica Bell (Management/Owner Correspondence/Tenant Relations)
Jessica Bell has an extensive background in real estate and property management, She currently owns and operates Resort Rentals North, LLC. With over 10 years’ experience in her field of work, she specializes in customer relations and contract management. Jessica received her Associates degree in Applied Science at Michigan State University and her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Psychology at Ashford University. Jessica enjoys camping, boating, and traveling with her family.
Jeff Wellman (Marketing/Management)
Jeff Wellman has more than 30 years’ experience with a focus on premium resort real estate, and has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Michigan State University. He became a realtor in 1985, and obtained his Brokers License in 1989. After three years of managing an independent office, in 1992, Jeff founded R. Resort Properties in Boyne City (Re/Max affiliate), owned and operated to present. He is one of the first brokers awarded the prestigious Norman Helm award, presented to one regional Re/Max Broker per year. Jeff served the local board of realtors as President and was awarded Realtor of the year. A published author, he wrote “Real Estate for Life”, a book on real estate investing. Jeff takes pride in coaching his agents one-on-one to promote their skills, and recently completed an intensive Broker training geared to attract and retain high performance agents.
Lora Higdon (Finance/Owner Correspondence/Management)
Dr. Lora Higdon has an extensive background in real-estate and property/association management and is currently an independent consultant for several growing real estate and property management companies. She specializes in coaching leaders of both start-up and growing companies to develop strong business and financial practices. Lora has 20 years’ financial and management experience, along with 4 years’ teaching experience as a Professor of Corporate Finance, Financial Accounting, and Managerial Accounting at Sierra Nevada College. She received both her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Northwood University in Michigan. Additionally, she obtained her Doctorate degree in Organizational Leadership at Pepperdine University in California. Continuous education is extremely important to her along with her love for art, fine wine, the symphony, and international travel.
Jay Higdon (Operations/Management)
Dr. Jay Higdon has a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Pepperdine University and an MBA from Northwood University with a focus on global business management. His background is in Real estate and portfolio management and is currently the Director of AECOM corporate real-estate. Jay also has an extensive background in real estate transaction and property management and currently manages a portfolio of more than 600 properties globally. Jay has responsibility of more than 75 Lease/Sale transactions annually with an operating budget over $375 mm. He is a firm believer in adult learning and continuous improvement and has recently implemented the Ritz Carlton customer service program at Aecom corporate real estate. Jay has been an internal and external consultant for several fortune 500 companies over his career and has implemented operational and marketing programs that drive the highest level of customer service.
